Experience the Five Elements through Yoga
We are accustomed to a perspective that views the elements of earth, water, fire, air and space as separate from ourselves. Yoga and Ayurveda however, not only share an understanding that these five energies exist within each of us, but that the degree to which the elements are present within us supports either a state of harmony or discord at every level of being.
Learn to create a yoga practice that encourages a return to balance through an understanding of the characteristics associated with the five elements, as well as the asana, pranayama and meditation techniques that enhance or subdue them.

Yoga and the Chakras ~ A Guide to Creating Balancing Practices
Chakras are centers of energy within the layer of our being known as the Pranamaya Kosha that receive, store and distribute Prana ~ the energy that enlivens and sustains us. As the relationships between all aspects of our being are interdependent, the ability of the chakras to function in this way correlates to health and balance of the physical body (Annamaya Kosha), the body of thoughts and emotions (Manomaya Kosha), the wisdom body (Vijnanamaya Kosha) and the bliss body (Anandamaya Kosha).
Join us in fostering an intellectual and experiential understanding of each of the seven chakras through both discussion and exploration of the postures, breathing techniques, mantras, mudras and meditations that nourish each energy center and ultimately guide us toward harmony in the system as a whole. Then utilize this ancient wisdom to create your own sequences/practices in support of an embodied and vibrant experience of well being!

Breathe Balance into the Body ~ Prana Vayus and Prana Vidya
Prana is the energy that both enlivens and sustains us. As such, understanding its natural patterns and developing the ability to control its flow and presence within the body equip the practitioner with powerful tools in moving toward health and balance.
This workshop will begin by developing an understanding of Prana in its manifestation as the five main currents of energy known as the Prana Vayus. Learn what specific areas and functions of the body are associated with each of these patterns of energy, and then dive into and enhance their flow through the use of asana and breathing techniques. Next, use of the breath and focused awareness enables participants to tap into the nourishing properties of Prana by creating their own pattern or pool of energy within the body; a practice known as Prana Vidya.
Through both discussion and direct experience, learn to harness these tools and enrich both your personal practice, as well as your teachings. Click here to register
